Music and politics are deeply connected. Artists of all types, all over the world, instinctively seek to challenge the world.
We are all dealing with our idealism, alienation, anger, sexuality, and need to find our voice. My music expresses my emotions and my viewpoints, and my work in my community is an extension of that. I have a long history of getting involved where I see injustice or even an opportunity to contribute in a small but concise way. From working with children in grief to emancipated foster care kids, to the homeless population in Los Angeles, I have learned a lot about people, the systems in which the underprivileged are relegated to and mostly, about humility and compassion.
I am a big believer that we all should get and stay involved in our society.
